Your character feels compelled to write about one of their favourite songs. What's the song (if it exists)? What's the message? Why do they like it? What kind of music is it? When was the first time they heard it? Did they like it immediately or did it have to grow on them? Maybe you even know why they felt compelled to write about the song, let's hear (read) it!

Someone your character is close to is dying, have them create a journal entry about it. Any specific memories come down to the page? How do they feel about it? Do they end up thinking about the deaths of others? Their own death? What is the person dying of, how does your character know of the imminent death?

Your character finds a very old, handwritten book. What does it say? Who wrote it? Do they even know? Why is it interesting enough for them to record in their own journal? Where did they find it? What kind of book is it? Spellbook? Records? Someone else's journal? A captain's log? Have them write about it all in their journal!
