Your character overheard a discussion/debate today that really made them think. It was also one they didn't entirely agree with. What are their thoughts on the issue? Why didn't they agree with either side of the debate, did they actually interrupt to debate their side or stay silent until it was time to pour it all into their journal? Find one of your characters passions in the issue (in other words the issue is not just an issue, it is an issue that they are quite passionate about). At the same time, how did it make them think too? Did they not agree with one side because the solid argument there made them doubt their own beliefs? Or was your character the more open-minded one and the closed-minded debate made them think? Pour it all out!
